![]() If you’re staying at the Surfing Beach Paros (Village/Camping) some rooms will include a chair rental for free (everyday). You can rent a chair at the Santa Maria Beach Bar, and it includes full service. Santa Maria Beach is located on the north east side of the Island. You can rent a beach chair here, as well as eat at a nearby cafe. Golden beach is located on the south eastern part of the island. The top two beaches on Paros are Golden Beach, and Santa Maria Beach. I’d recommend maybe spending and afternoon exploring the whitewashed village of Parikia. As the historic capital on the island, it also serves as a great spot to explore the islands history and charm. Parikia is a town in Paros that is filled with cobblestones streets, churches, shops and beautiful flowers. These shorter ferries are usually around 30 minutes to an hour and cost around €15-30. If you’re coming from surrounding Island like Naxos, you will likely take a ferry. To fly to Paros, you will likely be flying out of Athens. You can also book a cabin in some ferries. Tickets are typically €50 + depending on the day, season and duration of the ferry. The ferry from Athens leaves from Piraeus and is around 3-5 hours. Most flights and ferries will come from Athens but are there some (especially ferries) from surrounding islands. Also, no ashtrays available so there are cigarettes all over the beach.ħ) While there was a "technical problem" we saw police officers from a distance walking around the bar.You can either fly or catch a ferry to get to Paros. However, there's a different pricelist on the website! Remember that we paid 70 eu (only 3 reservations in the entire beach).Ħ) the sunbeds were very dirty and the table was covered with a red sticky stain. So no food and drinks for the rest of us until 13:00.ĥ) there was a written note that 1st row sunbeds were 50 eu and from 2nd and after it was 40 eu. A lady at the bar said to my husband "there is a technical problem, what you don't understand?!" in greek while she and her colleagues were preparing coffees for themselves. Only the lady collecting money from the sunbeds was on duty.Ĥ) although they don't accept reservations after 11:00 am, the bar/restaurant was closed until 13:00. We arrived on time and the bar was closed. If we didn't show up by that time they could have given our sunbeds to another person without refund. No disclaimer whatsoever! We ended up paying another 30 eu to the nearby kiosk for 1 towel.ģ) we made a reservation for 10:30 (no reservations are allowed after 11:00). I've never felt so SCAMMED in my life! Trust me and avoid this place at all costs!ġ) we have made a reservation online for 1st row umbrella set for 60 eu plus 10 eu booking fee (1st red flag that I have not taken seriously) so we paid 70 eu.Ģ) the 70 eu price we paid does Not include towels compared to other beach bars at this price range. Other than that it was a great experience So we decided to have lunch at the restaurant next door which had plenty of options. The beach bar menu was very limited, there were just a couple of sandwiches and maybe some salads. Everybody in the hospitality industry knows that such things should be done after operating hours and not while guests are present and enjoying your facility.Ģ. ![]() We couldn't relax while they working in front of us and couldn't wait for them to finish and leave. There were workers putting together some Gazebos right in front of us, they had ladders and paint buckets and construction material spread out on the beach, they obstructed our view and it didn't look very professional and the areas was cluttered with their things, and they were all taking cigarette breaks together clustered in front of us. The only two constructive comments i have :ġ. Many people were dancing to the music in the beach bar area. Our kids had a blast jumping on the waves since its windy in that area, they spent hours in the sea. The music played by the DJ gave the beach a very happening vibe. Best vibes, we were a mix of 6 adults and 7 kids and we all had a good time.
